Compared to other traditional Chinese festivals, Christmas is still very young in
China, but like many foreign customs that have been absorbed and transformed by China
over the centuries, Christmas in China has become more and more Chinese. The younger
generation grew up with these Christmas days with Chinese characteristics, but they knew
little about Western Christmas. How many years have you been fooled by "Chinese Christmas"?
1. It turns out that on Christmas Eve, you don't eat "fruit of peace".

Christmas, which is considered to be a Western "foreign festival", began to
"adhere to the customs" in China. For outsiders, these Chinese characteristics are sometimes
fascinating and sometimes confusing. For example, on Christmas Eve, a gift called "peace fruit"
is passed quietly in people's hands.
On Christmas Eve, you have to eat "fruit of peace", which is a "Christmas custom" that
foreigners don't know. In Chinese, Christmas Eve was translated as "Christmas Eve", and Apple
took the homonym to upgrade it to a safe fruit, which has the magical effect of ensuring peace
and promoting peace. There are many different versions of the story: some say they want 24
apples from 24 people with different surnames, some say they go to 24 different places to
buy 24 apples ...

2. It turns out that Santa does not play saxophone
The Santa Claus who plays the saxophone should be familiar to everyone, and this is also
his unique image in China. It may be that the imaginative Chinese people feel that Santa
driving a moose is slightly boring, so he has cultivated such a What a specialty.
3. It turns out that Christmas is not for Valentine's Day
Compared to the time when foreigners regard Christmas as a family reunion, Christmas in
China is often regarded as Valentine's Day. The shop's gift counter is full of flowers,
chocolates and teddy bears, and the restaurants have launched "romantic two-person packages",
and there are even groups who propose together at Christmas. I can't help but wonder: why all
festivals in China have become Valentine's Day?

4. It turned out that no one was on the street at Christmas
In China, people treat Christmas more like St. Patrick's Day or Valentine's Day. In other
words, it is a happy day. People went out to party with friends, crowds surged, and a festive
atmosphere. Many malls are open until Christmas morning, rather than spending time with their
families like Westerners. Foreigners want to stay with their families.
In addition to the "misunderstandings" above, there are the following Christmas elements
you may not know about!
1 December 25
Everyone knows that this day is the legendary Christmas, but it is definitely not a day to
give you reasons to be crazy. The fact is more serious than you think: because it is a day
when Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus. "Christmas" means "Celebrating Christ",
celebrating the moment when a young Jewish woman, Maria, gave birth to Jesus.

2 Christmas holiday
If your overseas friends are "lost" before and after Christmas, do n’t be surprised,
they ’re just spending holiday, just like our Chinese New Year. From December 24 of that
year to January 6 of the following year is the Christmas vacation of foreigners

3 Santa Claus
In fact, Santa and Jesus have no dime relationship, he is just some folklore in Europe.
The Santa Claus who rides a reindeer and sleighs home to give gifts to everyone's head is
just a good-faith lie that parents protect the naive childhood of their children. As soon as
this statement is made, it is estimated that he will faint a bear child ...

4 Christmas tree
It is said that the first German cedar was brought to the house for decoration by German
missionaries, and later introduced to Europe and North America, becoming an indispensable
decoration for Christmas. Especially people living in the northwestern United States with
abundant forest resources usually go up the mountain to pick a real Christmas tree.

5 Big star on top of Christmas tree
You can certainly understand it as a decoration of an active atmosphere, but we know that
there must be an extra large star at the top of each tree. It is said that when Jesus was
born, there were stars in the sky to guide the three doctors and shepherds in the east Jesus.
Traditionally, only the head of the family is eligible to hang on to this star of hope.

6 Christmas carols
The original Christmas carols were songs sung by angels when they gave good news to the
shepherds when Jesus was born. Of course, not many people today can sing those solemn and
solemn hymns, but popular folk songs like "Jingle Bells" don't know ... sorry, Christmas has
nothing to do with you.

After seeing so many "interesting" phenomena about Chinese Christmas, do the little friends
feel deeply "pitted"? In fact, after the introduction of each Western custom, there will be
some changes, as long as it has some Chinese characteristics, it is not bad. On Christmas
Eve, the family gathers together to eat food and Taoism, sing and dance, give gifts to each
other, and wish blessings. Because the true meaning of Christmas is: calm, serene, joy.
